Cisco Solutions
Unified communications (UC) is the integration of real-time communication services such as instant messaging (chat), presence information, Telephony (including IP telephony), video conferencing, call control and speech recognition with non-real-time communication services such as unified messaging (integrated voicemail, e-mail, SMS and fax). As a specialized UC partner, Estarta has the deep technical knowledge to offer any kind of Cisco based Unified Communications services; further, Estarta has the technical capability to integrate with other UC vendors to provide a best of bread solution such as integrating with Microsoft or Ericcson. The adoption of a UC solution provides the following benefits:
- Cutting Cost: Especially for a multisite organization, taking advantage of the internet or intranet connections, calls between the sites are with zero cost.
- Unifying Data, Voice and Video: all in one system, they are managed as one platform. Traditionally, each of data and voice had its own network. With UC, all system, all networks, and all platforms are integrated including Mailing, Instant Messaging, Presence, Audio and Video Calls, Cell phones…etc.
- Productivity Enhancement: with the ability to access and share voice, video and application on the desktop, on the road, and on-demand, as easily as making a phone call, the employee productive is empowered, and decision making becomes easier and faster.
- Saving the time and cost of travelling with Video Conferencing: with Video Conferencing, it becomes easier and faster to conduct face to face meetings without the need to waste the time and cost of travelling 4-3 hours for a one-hour meeting.
Cisco Wide Area Application Services (WAAS) Software is a comprehensive WAN optimization solution that accelerates applications over the WAN; where users at remote location have the experience of LAN speed when accessing remote users over the WAN. Cisco WAAS enables organizations to accomplish these primary IT objectives:
- Improve employee productivity: Enhancing the user experience for important business applications regardless of the location of the employee.

Estarta has the technical capability to integrate with Microsoft Network Access Protection (NAP) to provide a best of bread solution.
Integration Solutions
Traditional communications systems used to deliver messages into several different types of stores such as voicemail systems, e-mail servers, and stand-alone fax machines. With Unified Messaging, all types of messages are stored in one system. Microsoft Exchange delivers UM with single mailbox for Email, Voicemail and FAX. While Cisco IP Telephony represents the core telephony system for many customers, Estarta integrates these two systems to deliver a single reach for these various mailboxes. As a result of such integration, employees can access their email, voicemail and calendar from anywhere and anytime via outlook or by calling the corporate PSTN number. The caller can listen to his emails and calendar requests and reply, forward, delete such messages as well as initiate new emails on a phone call.
Traditional communications systems used to deliver messages into several different types of stores such as voicemail systems, e-mail servers, and stand-alone fax machines. With Unified Messaging, all types of messages are stored in one system. Many customers use legacy PBX systems and wish to enjoy the new collaborative features of UM; these customers are facing the constraint that their legacy PBX does not support voice over IP (VoIP). Estarta integrates legacy PBX’s with Cisco and Microsoft UM solution by integrating these system over an E1 or T1 digital connection, which is a legacy connection that almost all legacy PBX’s does support. Such integration allows all users at the legacy PBX to enjoy the rich features of Unified Messaging without making a big investment of replacing the legacy PBX.
Application acceleration and WAN optimization products are designed to provide IT organizations with the tools necessary to consolidate costly remote-office infrastructure and improve the performance of applications and services that run over WANs. SharePoint facilitates creation of team-oriented collaboration sites, or provides a secure enterprise portal site. At an enterprise portal site such as SharePoint, every user creates or manipulates dozens of electronic documents daily. Documents of different types and sizes are used in every function across organizations daily-marketing collateral, purchase orders, approvals, invoices, budgets, project plans, and more. When accessing those documents and document repositories over the WAN, users can encounter performance bottlenecks as a result of link latency, protocol chattiness, or WAN bandwidth requirements. In a joint experiment between Cisco and Microsoft, it was proven that Cisco WAAS can provide 2 to 20 times better performance for remote users accessing a centralized SharePoint Portal Server over the WAN, which proves that Cisco WAAS can provide bandwidth savings of up to 98 percent. As a leader in delivering SharePoint and Cisco services, Estarta solutions delivers such integration by assessing the customer’s existing links and studying the traffic passing through the intranet links and for SharePoint in particular. As a result of such study, Estarta provides the integration with insight analysis of the intranet links, which ensures the best results of the integration and the best utilization of WAAS. This study eliminates need spend more fees on the infrastructure bandwidth and optimizes the links for more intranet services to be adopted.
